Enrico De Rege is Antonio's third son and was born as the youngest of De Rege's triplet 7000 years ago alongside with Valentino and Giovanni De Rege, he was born under  House of Ivrea. Compared with his other siblings, he is the most mysterious one because he doesn't bother to show himself often in public, yet he is often knowing of what people doesn't know. He has a lot of authority in his hands despite of his status as the youngest triplet. Enrico is a hidden manipulator, it could be seen when he dethroned Valentino from his position as the heir because of one reason. Even though his position is elevated into the third boss of Nero famiglia and the one who advise the family (External adviser), Enrico always makes sure he is not tied down with anything but his son, he manipulates anything for his benefit and therefore he could gain a lot of freedom compares with all of his siblings. He doesn't feel bothered or even guilty to destroy anyone who opposite him, even it means his own family like father and brothers. His intellectual is unrivaled there, and his perfect poker face often makes people thinks Enrico has hidden motive and become wary of him.

Enrico thought his parents' treatment for Renée until his youngest sister was viewed as the bird in golden cage by everyone as unnecessary. He pitied Renée for unable to gain her own freedom, yet at the same time he loves Renée and agreed with this method of clipping Renée's wings. Valentino, Giovanni, and Enrico love Renée in romantic way and intended to make her as their eternal mate. The oldest triplet (Valentino and Giovanni) often seen fighting for Renée's affection, even the both of them almost killing one another if it wasn't Antonio who quickly separated them and punished them for good. Enrico would sit and saw what happened while his mind was running. If his oldest brothers are violent while trying to show they deserve Renée's affection, Enrico would crush them indirectly using dangerous scheme. It was Enrico who dethrone Valentino from his original position as the House of Ivrea heir and Boss of Nero famiglia, and it was Enrico who put the original duty of the heir into Giovanni to make them busy and resent one another, also it was him who stripped their father from any power he owned before. He is smooth while working, no one noticed it but Renée who keep her silence.

The feud between brothers happened for thousand years, making the situation uncomfortable and tenser whenever the gathering his father arranged happen. Enrico would sit on the back and observe, his frightening way of crushing anything that he dislike makes people call him as the Shadow Lord, he is a frightening man who have been alive.  Through years, his feeling for his youngest sister changes from the romantic into more familial bond affection until the romantic feeling disappeared altogether, nowadays he sees Renée as his sister only and not a potential mate like before, unlike his oldest brothers whose feeling haven't changed at all. He even supported Renée when the latter wanted to rebel against their mother, and provided her his voice for manipulating their parents to give Renée and Giovanni permission for exploring the world for thirty years.

Enrico was the one who supported Renée's decision when she wanted to take eternal slumber, it was Enrico as well who arranged everything and put Renée to her eternal sleep into the castle their family owns. While the time passed by, Enrico takes his role as the third boss and external adviser seriously. He becomes the support and makes sure anything goes well for their family's benefit. The mafia family flourished and reaches the golden age under his and Giovanni's hands. Those two become the main power of their family, and because of his capability leading a famiglia also the way he molds everything for his liking, people calls him as the Shadow Lord.

When the long feud between Valentino and Giovanni resurfaced which almost causing another internal problem, Enrico chose to stay out of this conflict unlike years ago. He didn't bother to take this into his hands, he was pretty much uncaring with his twins who chose to kill one another. With Isabelle, they left Italy and went into Japan in favor of avoiding and being dragged into this conflict.

During this time, Enrico met a young woman named Giselle who took vacation at Kyoto and fell in love with her completely at the first sight. He wanted to make Giselle his mate and his courting for her began. He described Giselle as a virtuous and good woman, the first time he talked to her, she told Enrico how she loved white lotus because it reminded her with this world's kindness. Thus, Enrico had an idea how to court her. He created his own garden and planted it with white lotus without using his own power, doing manual labor to make those flowers grew beautifully. Everyday he never failed to present Giselle with his beautiful white lotus after they blossomed, he said it was the symbol of his love for her. He did it for two years until Giselle gave in and finally accepting Enrico, they dated for one month before Enrico married Giselle. They were happy together, and more than anything Giselle accepted Enrico's nature as vampire. Even she couldn't help but felt the excitement with the idea of meeting their first child in the future after she was positive that she carried his son in her womb. Sadly, their happy life didn't last long due of the premature birth of their son.

Because Giselle was a human and unable to provide strength for the baby in her womb, she gave birth to baby Gabriel prematurely two months before the due date. She refused Enrico's offer to turn her into vampire, she chose the brave death for their son and entrusted their child to Enrico. Giselle had reason with it, she knew that even if Enrico turned her into vampire, her own strength wasn't enough and it would lead her into insanity or the worst fate was frozen sleep. Thus, to spare her husband from another sadness she chose the death. Giselle passed away three days later after she gave birth to Gabriel, their son who is an aristocrat vampire (due of his mixed blood of Pureblood vampire and human), in Enrico's arms. Her last words to Enrico was for him to not blame Gabriel for her death and how Enrico should love their son, she also asked Enrico to tell Gabriel that she loved their son a lot, she didn't mind to greet the death if it meant Gabriel could survive. After those words were spoken, she closed her eyes and never opened again. Enrico made a beautiful grave for his wife, he also used his own magic to create eternal white lotus that unable to wither on Giselle's grave to accompany her and showing the symbol of how pure Giselle was. Thus, Enrico becomes the single father he is nowadays.

A week after his wife passed away, Enrico got a vision for the first time after the last one he got twenty three years ago. In this vision he saw his eldest brother, Valentino De Rege attacked his son and drained him, killing Gabriel instantly for a revenge. This vision shook him greatly, and truthfully Enrico had expected that Valentino would attack him sooner or later as long as he got a chance. It happened as a revenge because Enrico had been stripping his eldest twin from power and status he had in hand, after the long feud the triplet had thousand years ago. The vision forced Enrico to make some plans if the worst scenario happen, and to avoid this from happening then Enrico should find a solution faster . For days he thought about some solution to make Gabriel could survive or Valentino from attacking his son as revenge, but nothing came to him. He knew that hiding his son from the world wasn't a good option, Gabriel was a child and he needed to experience the world by himself without being hidden because of Enrico's paranoid tendency. On the other hand, Valentino knew Enrico married Giselle and it was only a matter of time until Valentino found out he had a child as well. And hiding Gabriel from the world wouldn't deter Valentino from finding it out either. His question was answered, he got the solution he needed to avoid the foreboding storm that would happen to his family, it happened when Enrico was doing a research through some documents Giovanni sent him to sign, the document made him remember with the friendship he had with a great mage named Emrys

Emrys at that time owed him a favor after Enrico saved him from being killed five hundred years ago, thus after remembering this he took a journey to find Emrys. Through Emrys, Enrico retrieved a book of shadow which was called as Raziel. He needed the book because within the book he could learn a powerful spell that he could use for Gabriel's protection, thus Valentino would unable to touch him even Enrico wasn't with Gabriel.  While staying at Japan, Enrico remembered that he had some allies who loyal to him, thus he contacted them to create an alliance as a prevention.

 

At the same time, Giovanni who acted as the second boss of Nero famiglia also asked Enrico to take care of the famiglia business in mainland which certainly making Enrico and his family to move back there. Enrico and Isabelle brought Gabriel to move from Kyoto into Italy, he reinstalled themselves as Italy's citizens. After reuniting with his allies within the place, he alongside with them created House of Don as their main base and the revolution within Europe's underworld business started. Nero famiglia's business was falling into Enrico's hand, he installed himself as the external adviser for the main famiglia at Palermo.

Years later, Enrico becomes the doting parent like right now. He is protective of Gabriel and making sure nothing bad could touch the child. Due of Enrico's special ability to see the future, he watches anything and eliminating the dangerous thing for his son. some of his underlings help Enrico to raise his son, he teaches what necessary for little Gabriel and preventing any discrimination for his son. Even if he is changed for the better, his twisted personality doesn't even disappeared once a bit. People calls him a sly, cunning, and manipulative man with sadistic tendency, mercilessly would destroy anything that oppose him. While Enrico himself often says it is only a persona. He is trying to be a kind man after all. He makes sure Gabriel doesn't know this side of his, only the gentle side of his that his son should see.

Playing music, taking care of his son, and gardening are three hobbies he develops after Gabriel comes into his life. He is a doting parent and always seen overprotective of Gabriel.
